like those tears
which are hidden behind the layers
of undying hope...
cheap, easy catch.
my pride had a fall...
blinded by possibilities
i jumped, heart and soul
before i looked where the road goes...
Why is it that the smallest word
can hurt deeper than the Excalibur?
We would not be 'Us'
if she had not done that...
We are not 'Us'
because we felt that...
All the words
are just cacophonic noises...
they keep the silence at bay
but have no meaning left...
and i sit here
to put in words
what my heart can never say...
We were too busy
ReplyDeleteIn our I's
The 'us' that could be
Would never be seen
With closed eyes
Each one standing
With an outstretched arm
Hoping the other
Would take the first step
And so here we are
Standing orphaned
On our islands
And there are the words
Useless ones we threw around
All the beautiful ones
We threw away
An ugly beautiful cacophony
That now flows between us
So we stand here
A mere shout away
With dried up voices...
beautiful they were
ReplyDeletebut so false
so untrue
Yet i believed
and how i fell
into those word traps
So i turned my back
to all those words...
closed my ears
from calls of the heart...
Now with dried up voices
my love has dried up too
and all i have
is a shrivelled piece of you
and i have shrivelled up too...
